We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Sales to drive revenue growth for our organization. You will be responsible for developing and executing the company's sales strategy, working directly with dealers, and developing the sales team as we expand.
What you'll do:
- Strategic Partner Management: Build and maintain relationships with our strategic sales partners (DSMA) who bring dealers to the table, ensuring effective collaboration to drive revenue growth.
- Hands-On Dealer Engagement: Work directly in market with dealers, securing commitments to export vehicles using Signal's platform.
- Team Leadership: Build and lead a growing sales team (starting with 1-2 Account Executives) while maintaining significant personal sales contribution. Create a high-performance culture through effective coaching and development.
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Collaborate with the executive team to implement a sales strategy that aligns with company growth objectives, target markets, and product offerings.
- Revenue & Pipeline Management: Drive sales performance to hit revenue targets through new customer acquisition and account expansion. Track and maintain visibility of all opportunities through consistent HubSpot management.
- Sales Process Optimization: Develop and refine the sales process to efficiently convert dealers from initial interest ("hand raise") to first vehicle load to repeat customer, continuously improving conversion rates.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Optimize the handoff process with account management team while collaborating with marketing, product, and customer success to ensure seamless customer experiences and improved customer journeys.
- Forecasting & Reporting: Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular reports on performance, pipeline health, and progress toward revenue goals to senior leadership.
What you bring:
- Leadership: 3-5 years in a sales leadership role, such as Sales Manager or Sales Director, preferably in a SaaS environment.
- Experience: 7-10+ years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in SaaS or automotive industries, with a proven track record of hitting targets.
- Sales Skills: Demonstrated ability to work directly with customers to understand their needs, communicate value propositions, and close deals effectively.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal abilities to build dealer relationships, lead team members, negotiate effectively, and articulate value across diverse audiences.
- Education: Degree in business administration, marketing, or related field is a plus.
